“1946 Model XX”
The "herringbone pocket fabric model with decorative stitching" was long considered a specimen shrouded in mystery, but recent subdivision of manufacturing eras has revealed that it was a model produced immediately after the war. Jackets from the same era included both types with flaps and those that remained exactly as they were during the war, which is considered evidence that it took time for the "cancellation of specifications"—not just for materials and denim, but across all factories—to be thoroughly implemented.
