The so-called "newspaper bag" was used by American newspaper carriers from the late 19th century as a bag for delivery, sales, and advertising. It had a flap to protect newspapers from the elements, and when tucked inside, the name of the newspaper printed on the side could be advertised. DENIME has updated this style, adding not only a shoulder strap but also a pull tab for two-way use. It can also be closed with a strap to conceal the contents.
The denim used is from Kurabo and was assembled at a factory that sews workwear, so it has a heavy triple-stitched wrap seam.
