This bandana incorporates all three of the classic elements of a vintage bandana: large size, two ears, and indigo. Because it was worn on the body and used to wipe away sweat, it was frequently washed, making color fading the biggest issue. For this reason, the bandana was printed with "COLOR FAST" using a highly colorfast reactive dye that resists fading. Many indigo bandanas date back to before World War II, and the beautiful fading of the indigo, a by-product of the dye, has captivated not only collectors but also many fans. At Warehouse, we use a loom capable of weaving fabric with two ears to weave indigo-dyed yarn and then use discharge dyeing to recreate the pattern, allowing us to recreate bandanas that allow you to enjoy the beautiful fading of the vibrant indigo.
