Until the 1920s, when jeans were still called "waist overalls," men's pants had suspender buttons and were worn as "suspender trousers." Work suspenders were used so hard as workwear that the elastic stretched out and the leather tore, so there are not many left today. In this situation, a "NEW WAY" suspender was born, reflecting an idea never before seen in suspenders. Its features are obvious at a glance: "It has elasticity, but instead of elastic that easily stretches, it uses a spring to create a kick pack, and the sliding back allows for hard movement, relieving stress for workers."
An advertisement in Country Gentleman magazine from the 1920s read, "Neway stretches without elastic. Cleverly hidden so there's no shoulder chafing or binding. As you bend and twist, each piece slides and adjusts to its own length."
