Lot JG-32 John Gluckow STAG WOOL COAT

The Stag Blanket Coat is derived from a Hirsch Weis (White Stag) coat I've owned for many years. When I found it, I was confused by the "buttonholes" on the collar and cuffs, then realized they were there for straps. A few years ago, I was able to see a catalog with a photo of the coat and was able to confirm this. There were even straps with buckles to adjust the cuffs and neckband. Solving mysteries like this has always drawn me to vintage clothing, and it's one of my favorite parts of my job.
